Cryptic One of Atoms Family
· best albums
- Jay-Z : The Black Album
some critics hate it... I love it... its highs are really high... and its lows are pretty high
- OutKast : Speakerboxx / The Love Below
Andre's disc is a freezing cold pool. Jump in head first, kind of upset that it is so cold, stay in and adjust to the change in temp, finally warm up to it, then never want to get out of it. Its kind of a shame that Big Boi's disc comes with this because I think it is a great album on its own, but being packed with Andre's LP it unjustly gets neglected
· albums I listened to
- Soul Position : 8 Million Stories
long time friends, great beats, great rhymes... this is what hip hop needs to sound like more often these days... great stories that anyone can relate to

- Cinematic Orchestra : Every Day
I slept on these guys forever, til someone put me on to them lending me this album... wow is all that can be said
· best songs
- Jay-Z : 99 Problems
only one other person I can think of that could of pulled off a song like this... Slick Rick in his prime... but Jay does it his own way and murders it... of course Rick Rubin brings it on the beat as well... great song
- Ghostface : Tony's Dough
I dont know what producer didnt send Pretty Tony his dough... but I'd like to personally thank that producer for fucking Ghostface over, because without that this song might not exist

Breezly Brewin & Subcon : Bezerkowitz
this single needs to be talked about more... ill beat... Brewin and Subcon rip the beat to shreds... please do yourself a favor and buy this single

· best producers
Kanye West & Just Blaze
grouped the ROCs monsters together... these guys are pretty much responsible for bringing sampling back to the forefront of mainstream hip hop... thanks fellas

· best emcee / lyrics
- MF Doom
the current hardest working/most prolific man in the biz... he never spits a wack verse... and always has a minimum of 3 quotable lines per song...

this man is not human

· favorite labels
hardest working label in the indy scene period... this should be the model for how indy labels should aspire to be as far as consistency, schemea, concepts and sales
· biggest surprise
Nephlim Modulation Systems : Woe To Thee O Land Whose King Is A Child
the beats on this album are in-fuckin-credible

· biggest disappointment
Ludacris : Chicken & Beer
not a bad album by any means... but as a fan of Luda I was a little disapointed...
· books I read
- Michael Moore : Dude Where's My Country
- Al Franken : Lying Liars and the Lies They Tell"

Chuck Palahniuk : Diary

· movies I saw
- Kill Bill Part 1
been waiting for this for a while... loved it... some people hated it, but those people were expecting Pulp Fiction 2 not Kill Bill 1... pays homage to kung fu flicks, spaghetti westerns, anime, and blaxploitation films... Quentin's first action movie and I love it... waiting on vol 2 and the DVD for vol 1

Punch Drunk Love
Adam Sandler is a funny guy, but I was very skeptical about this flick when I heard about it. PT Anderson has done a couple of my favorite films (Magnolia & Boogie Nights) so thought it was a little weird that his next film starred Sandler... so I missed this one in the theatre... caught it on cable and wanted to kick myself... great movie...

· websites I visited
any record addict/sampling producer should have a love/hate relationship with this site
some of the most knowledgable wax diggers on the planet... also some of the snobbiest... gotta take the good with the bad as with anything, but the good outweighs the bad by tons
hate ebay and love it... its made me money... but I've spent a bunch more then I've made... and it is more addictive then Grand Theft Auto
the hip hop label msg board with no hip hop... the one message board that is a walking living breathing stand up comedy routine
- (producers forum)
I have no idea why I like this place but I do

· foods I ate
- Serafina
great italian spot downtime... food is insanely good and cheap... drinks are expensive tho
- Park Avalon
food great... prices not

In & Out Burger
went out to LA this year and finally got to try the infamous In & Out Burger... good, tasty, and greasy as hell... just perfect... they need to get these spots in NY
