even though it's a few years old, I really dig the song "Lucky With Disease" by Elbow; great lyrics, very minimalist apporach to production...

- "Dazed" by Deeskee
- Avatar "Narcotix" by DJ Obi
- anything from DJ Rylo

- the album cover of "Deus Ex Machina" by Cruze
· biggest surprise
Bush winning the election (what the fuck happened there?)
· biggest disappointment
once again, Bush winning the election. I can't believe that so many people support such an arrogant, underqualified man for such a powerful position. After the election, I walked around in a daze for weeks waiting for the apocalypse.

· things that made me smile
completing my album and performing for people every chance I get
· things that made me go hmm
I am constantly puzzled by the fact that people wait in humongous lines and pay exorbitant cover charges to get into these trendy clubs where the DJ plays the SAME SHIT that's on the radio EVERY DAMN DAY. What the fuck is wrong with these people??? C'mon man, variety is the spice of life
· things that made me cringe
having political discussions with people that consider disagreeing with the government to be "unpatriotic". Our country was founded on dissention, why don't people realize that without this element progress can not be made?
· best moment(s) of 2004
seeing Andre Asmar get on stage with the Shapeshifters just a month after he suffered a cerebral aneurysm...now that's the strength of the human spirit
· what I'd like to see in 2005
all of the artists that I associate with and work with to get their propers. These cats have come way too far to be ignored for much longer. The L.A. underground is gonna make the world stand up & take notice
· what I don't want to see in 2005
any more reality shows!!! Enough already!!! This shit has gotten WAY outta hand!!!!
· hip hop in 2005 will be...
Changing. I think that people are getting fed up with the crap that the record industry churns out...there's gotta be a backlash. The Music Business as a whole is at a very interesting crossroads, it's fighting for survival due to the consequences of its greed. It'll be fascinating to see who everything ends up. I, for one, am optimistic...I think we are due for a renaissance.
· my new years resolutions
this one's easy: lose 15 pounds. I'm starting to get a beergut from the countless pints I've consumed. Eat less. Smoke less. Drink less. Exercise more...get more sleep. That about sums it up...
