| But Infinito also speaks about
more than just handing out and ducking blows. On
the title track "Music
With Sound Right Reasoning" he opens
all of his three eyes, to look into the world. While
he asks to not 'reason with him' on the hook, before
he remembers some punchlines that he hasn't yet
mentioned, but that put down the blind and ignorant
in fitting ways, while Memo again does a dope beat.
"Seeing Is Knowing"
does something similar, where he reminds us that
he's the only person that sees the world through
his eyes, and that spends all day with his mind
and soul. So he kicks one or two brags, but also
throws some brackets of his life our way. Infinito
however gets fully reflective on "Escaping
The Turmoil Of A Twisted Reality"
or "At Night I Can't
Sleep", where he appears introspective,
but in a way outgoing that he wants to be part of
the bettering. Teaming up with Soulchild, Infinito
does "The William
Lynch Treatment" for more messages.
|
| And digging for more dope beats,
there's "To Those
That Hate" where Mixx Massacre is
looping a climbing and descending piano, or there's
"Shadow Hours"
where Memo digs up an incredible sample, where Infinito
again kicks his mix of bragging and jewels. The
sample on "Black Chicago"
surfaced by Mixx is also excellent, while Infinito
spends the track to speak on his hometown. DJ PNS
only offers two beats, but the abstract and somewhat
O.C.-ish "Open Space"
is one of the best on here, and the quick "Instructions
At The End Pt. 3" is capturing the
rush successfully. |
| And all as already said, obviously
adds up to an excellent album. It being one of the
bricks that builds the often mentioned continuously
impressive track record of Chicago. With Infinito
being one of the, lets say, New School veterans,
he certainly is one that believes in practicing
to get better. He lets us observe his progress,
as if he'd be part of some reality TV show. And
this latest episode has us definitely wondering
how he got here. |
